Welcome everybody! I am so glad that the wind and the sea currents have brought you to my little island. I am sure you are tired from the trip. I know the hardships of the sea, but don’t worry, here you will be able to take a breath, rest and relax. I will show you a few things that keep me busy.
Later, we can light a fire so that you can warm up your feet, and I will tell you my story. Are you ready?
As you know, I am an ilustrator and graphic designer. I live in a seaside little village nearby Barcelona. I am Polish, and that’s why my name is so hard to spell. I studied in Barcelona at the Escuela Superior de Diseño: IDEP.
There I lost the fear to open my wings and develop my artistic soul. I remember that sweet time at IDEP because it helped me understand myself and the path I wanted to follow.
Once I finished my studies, I started a little studio with three of my school mates: That Studio. It was an amazing experience. The four of us were all from different countries, like telling a joke: ( There was a Sweedish, a Polish, a Colombian, and a catalan … ) In just one year, we have learnt a million new things. Thanks to „1000friends” and „La Casa Carlota” we were involved in big projects such as „Ferran Adrià i la fàbrica de menjar solidari”.
Unfortunatelly, one year later, we all followed our own dreams exploring our own talents. Everybody left Barcelona and went abroad. I miss them very much and hope to see them again here.
Meanwhile they started their new adventures, my life changed, and totally. In October I was mother for the second time and Nicole was born. This two year old is a great inspiration and happiness source.
And now, here I am, building the island of my dreams. I am very excited about sharing my artworks with you and to show a little bit of myself. I welcome all the „travellers” that pass by.
If you want to talk to me, I am looking forward to it.
You can write your letter, put it in a bottle and throw it in the sea. Or you can send me a white pigeon with a piece of paper tied to her foot. You can also send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Up to you!
Now it’s time to say good bye.
I hope one day we will meet. It’s a small world after all.
